Verse from The Noble Qur'an

يُدَبِّرُ الْأَمْرَ مِنَ السَّمَاء إِلَى الْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ يَعْرُجُ إِلَيْهِ فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ

He arranges (every) affair from the heavens to the earth, then it (affair) will go up to Him, in one Day, the space whereof is a thousand years of your reckoning.

Explanatory Notes

Allah (God) Almighty states in the Qur'anic verse that the affairs of the creatures ascend to Him in a period of time (i.e. Day), which is equal to one thousand years according to the reckoning of humans. Thus the Almighty teaches us that time is not constant when viewed from various perspectives. The understanding of this matter is further explained in the diagrams shown below.
